MABEL Data Users Workshop, 9 April 2014

The Workshop took place in the Melbourne Institute Seminar Room on Level 6 of the Faculty of Business and Economics Building at 111 Barry Street.

The Workshop outlined current developments with MABEL data and examples of how to use the data.

MABEL Research Forum, 10 April 2014

The MABEL Research Forum was held on 10 April at the Melbourne Business School at 200 Leicester Street, Carlton.

The Forum was focused on a discussion of research using the MABEL data in a form that is accessible to academics, policymakers and other stakeholders.  The Forum included presentations from researchers using the MABEL data, and introductions provided by policymakers and stakeholders. The forum included presentations of research from people based in the MABEL team (in Monash University and the Melbourne Institute) and from external data users.

The MABEL Survey

The MABEL longitudinal survey of doctors https://mabel.org.au has become a valuable research resource on medical workforce in Australia. In its sixth year and including over 10,000 doctors each year, research using the survey data has already appeared in prestigious national and international journals and has provided the basis for policy reports to Health Workforce Australia.
