Biography
Claire Thibout joined the Melbourne Institute as a Research fellow in January 2015, and she is part of the Labour Economics and Social Policy research program. Claire graduated from the French Ecole Normale Superieure de Cachan (ENS) and she holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Paris School of Economics. Claire completed her PhD studies in Economics in October 2014, at the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and the French National Institute for Demographic Studies. She specialized in the fields of household economics, economics of education and micro-econometrics. Her dissertation research focused on theoretical and empirical analyses of young people’s educational choices and family decision-making.
Research Interests / Current Projects
Claire’s research interests include household decision-making, allocation of time, domestic production, educational attainments and choices, and gender stereotypes.
