Biography

Anne Leahy joined the Melbourne Institute in 1999 and was initially responsible for writing a range of regular, survey-based contract research reports in the Macroeconomics research program, as well as participating in a range of ad hoc contract research projects as required. Since 2006 she has managed a range of surveys conducted within the Industrial Economics and Health Economics research programs and prepared related reports, as well contributing to a number of regular and one-off contract-based research projects. Anne's previous experience is primarily as a macroeconomist in the business sector and includes 13 years at the Broken Hill Proprietary Company Ltd (BHP, now BHP Billiton), during which time she spent 18 months at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris on a secondment. Anne is a graduate of the University of Melbourne.
Anne's key areas of interest have been in domestic and international macroeconomic analysis.
