Melbourne Institute Public Economics Forum: Aims
The Melbourne Institute Public Economics Forum was established in Canberra in 1999 to provide members with access to authoritative and independent economic research and analysis in the form of quarterly luncheons in Canberra, reports and publications, conferences and consultancies.
Through the Melbourne Institute Public Economics Forum, the Melbourne Institute endeavours to provide practical, first class support for business, government and the community. Since its formation, the Forum has become a venue for briefing and discussion of topics such as taxation reform, welfare reform, unemployment, the implications of aging, as well as the presentation and interpretation of the Melbourne Institute's economic indicators.
