Melbourne Institute Economics Forum: Aims

The Melbourne Institute Economics Forum was established in Melbourne in 1997 to provide Forum members with access to authoritative and independent economic research and analysis. This research and analysis is disseminated at quarterly luncheon meetings in Melbourne, in reports and publications, and via conferences and consultancies.

As well as presenting the Melbourne Institute's latest macroeconomic forecasts, other Forum topics of focus have included taxation reform, welfare reform, unemployment and the implications of ageing.

I find the Melbourne Institute Economics Forum, held quarterly, one of the best I have experienced over many decades. The Melbourne Institute's record for accuracy in its forecasting has been awesome over recent years: and often defying the conventional views of the day...The bonuses come in the Melbourne Institute's insights into many other areas of interest such as employment and unemployment, tax systems, welfare, health big business performance and other areas of interest or importance to the world of business, NFPs and government.
