Ordering the Data - Release 8

Release 8 of the HILDA data (waves 1 to 8) is now available. The data are provided as SAS datasets, SPSS system files and STATA datasets. Full documentation is included.

Licensing Arrangement

• Honours students will only be granted access under an Organisational Licence.
• Students will only be granted access if their supervisor has access.
• Research assistants may only be granted access if a senior research officer from the same project has access.

Completing an Order

1. Read the latest version of the Manual for Access and Use of FaHCSIA Longitudinal Survey Datasets.
   For past users, this is to refresh your understanding of the obligations under their Deed. The major change in this Manual is the requirement for a senior research officer from the same project to have access to the data before research assistants will be granted access.
2. Complete the appropriate forms. You must complete all parts of the Deeds that are highlighted in yellow.

• My organisation already has an Organisational Licence
• My organisation is interested in an Organisational Licence
• I want to apply for an Individual Licence
• I want to apply for the Cross-National Equivalence File

3. Send the forms for approval…

• to your Data Manager if you are applying under an Organisational Licence.
• to FaHCSIA if you are applying under an Individual Licence or for the CNEF data.

The quickest and easiest way to send your completed application and deed is by emailing a scanned copy to FaHCSIA or faxing it to 02 6206 9545 (or +61 2 6206 9545 for overseas applications).
