A Policy Simulation of aspects of the tax system using MITTS: Interim project
In this project, the wage and labour supply models used in the Melbourne Institute Tax and Transfer Simulator (MITTS) are re-estimated and updated with additional years of data. The newly estimated parameters are implemented in MITTS. Then the immediate effects of two hypothetical tax changes and the effects of the policy changes after labour supply responses are accounted for are examined using MITTS.
