Biography

Anna joined the Melbourne Institute in June 2014. She completed her PhD studies in Economics at the University of New South Wales in 2013, specialising in the fields of empirical labour economics and applied econometrics. Her PhD topic was on maternal employment and the care of children. Before joining the Melbourne Institute, Anna worked as a research associate at the Social Policy Research Centre at the University of New South Wales, researching topics on marital separation, the income support behaviour of single mothers, poverty and deprivation, and she was also involved in a cross-country comparison of child well-being across Australia, United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Anna’s research interests include maternal employment, youth disadvantage, child health and well-being and cross-country analyses.
