Ha joined the Melbourne Institute in January, 2003 and has been working in Labour Economics and Social Policy area. She earned her Bachelor of Economics from The University of Newcastle in 2001 and her honours degree in Economics from The Australian National University in 2002.

Currently, she is also enrolled in the PhD on a full-time basis with the Melbourne Institute. Her main research interests include welfare economics, social policy reforms, development economics, and behavioral economics
