Dynamic properties of income support receipt in AustraliaThis project seeks to further our understanding of the dynamic properties of reliance on income support and the factors that affect these dynamic properties. Particular focus is on the relationships between 'churning' (cycling off and on income support payments), movements between payment types and the extent of reliance on income support, how these interact with payment type, and how they depend on personal characteristics. Funded by: Australian Government Department of Family and Community Services. The final report was completed in September 2004. The Melbourne Institute contact for this project is Dr Roger Wilkins. |
