Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights

This is an ongoing project on the empirical analysis of enforcement on patents, trade marks and copyright in Australian courts. It considers issues such as how often patent and trade marks owners' rights (on either validity or infringement) are upheld by the courts. In order to address these issues, a database of litigation outcomes has been compiled by legal scholars working on the project. At present, analysis of trade marks disputes is being finalised and will result in a working paper in the near future.
